Encounters TEDEd @ Vancouver

Welcome to our Encounters TEDEd @Vancouver Website! We are an official TEDEd club located in Vancouver, BC.. The aim of our club is to create a space for youth to learn about their history, faith and areas of passion while developing essential skills in presentation, leadership, and public speaking. We are committed to being active learners and contributors to the knowledge society of the 21st century.

 

At the 2006 convocation of the Aga Khan University, the Aga Khan Said “leading participants in the Knowledge Society of the 21st century…. will mean embracing the values of collaboration and coordination, openness and partnership, choice and -…learning constantly to review and revise and renew what we think we know – learning how to go on learning, The spirit of the Knowledge Society is the spirit of pluralism – a readiness to accept the other, indeed to learn from him, to see difference as an opportunity rather than a threat.” Since TEDEd is a global knowledge society that empowers youth, it is the perfect place for us to learn about new ideas and share our own, while connecting and collaborating with youth around the world!
